Description
Galeón de Manila – print taken from an original oil on canvas painting, 102 x 90cm (2021)
The heroic, Pacific trade route vessels of the 17th and 18th centuries were the inspiration for this piece. The largest boats of their time, cavernous holds engulfing vast cargoes, 2000 trees needed to make each of these craft…500 brave souls aboard with the comfort of satellite radio an unimagined dream. The myriad facets of the sea and it’s boundless adventure and history continue to provide inspiration for the artist.
